Four Hands Piano Class

With Nathan Secrest!

Nathan’s Four Hands Piano Classes are a fun and exciting way for students to build confidence, improve sight-reading, and experience the joy of making music with others!

The Beginner/Intermediate Class is great for students with about one year of experience and introduces duet playing with classmates, ending in a final partnered performance.

The Intermediate/Advanced Class is ideal for students with 3+ years of experience and focuses on deeper ensemble skills, four-hands repertoire, and preparing a polished duet performance.

Taught by Nathan Secrest

Nathan Secrest studied piano performance at the University of New Mexico under the instruction of Falko Steinbach. He completed a Bachelor's of Music in spring of 2019 and a Master of Music in summer of 2023. As a child, Nathan used to play piano duets with his grandma Mary. She taught him all about the joys of collaborative music making. In university, he participated in four hands and two piano classes every year. These classes brought the students in the piano studio closer together and fostered a greater sense of community among them. Nathan is excited to be able to offer a similar opportunity to piano students at Albuquerque Institute of Music.
