Elijah

Voice/ Beginner Piano & Guitar

Elijah Estrada is a native New Mexican, having lived his whole life in the state. Born and raised in Las Cruces, he began his singing career early in life by singing in the Dona Ana Youth Choir starting at the age of nine. From then, he was determined to make music and singing central to his life. Throughout his high school and collegiate careers, he pursued performance opportunities to the furthest extent. He performed in choirs, jazz ensembles, worship bands, country bands, and musicals. After graduating with his bachelor’s degree from New Mexico State University, he moved to Lovington, NM, where he taught middle and high school choir, drama, piano, and guitar for five years. In addition to teaching, he continued to perform as often as he could through concerts and recitals. He recently relocated to Albuquerque to pursue a master’s degree in choral conducting at the University of New Mexico, under the direction of Dr. David Edmonds. He also intends to continue performing at every opportunity. In his spare time, he enjoys playing tennis, being outdoors, and hanging out with friends and family, especially with his dog Baxter.
