Angela

Piano Teacher

Angela Papierski began taking formal lessons at age 5 and has been a piano instructor for nearly three decades. A recent transplant to New Mexico from Cambridge, Massachusetts, Angela attended Berklee College of Music and UMASS Boston, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Music. An accompanist since age 9, she is also an enthusiastic collaborative singer who has performed with several Boston-area choral ensembles. She has held multiple church music positions, most recently as Worship Organist at the Swedenborg Chapel in Harvard Square.

Angela believes in nurturing a lifelong joy and appreciation of music. Her engaging, approachable teaching style allows students of all ages the freedom to explore and cultivate their individual strengths and preferences while building a strong technical and theoretical foundation. Though classically trained, Angela’s personal faves run the gamut and include pop, rock and funk as well as musical theatre and movie soundtracks.

In addition to musical pursuits, Angela is an avid knitter, self-described nerd, and loyal Red Sox fan. She and her husband love exploring their new Southwest surroundings with their 3-pound Chihuahua mix Minnie.
