Aaron Carlson has been performing and teaching for fifteen years, sharing his love of music with students of all ages. Many of his students have studied at the graduate level and have moved on to become music teachers and perform for civic orchestras. Mr. Carlson believes in music as a medium for growth and development for the whole person. He has taught strings and piano privately for the Patel Conservatory in Tampa and Lake Highland Preparatory school. He has organized school music programs, led youth orchestras, and consulted schools throughout central Florida. He has also been televised for his achievements. Mr. Carlson holds a Bachelor of Arts in violin performance from Rollins College where he graduated Magna Cum Laude. He studied classical and folk music at the Mankato Suzuki School of Music in Minnesota. His continued studies were with Mr. Gilbert Stemm, a student of Joseph Gingold, and former member of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra. Mr. Carlson has performed with many orchestras and ensembles, enjoying a wide variety of music on piano and violin including classical, jazz, folk, and popular music. He also specializes in recording.
